Global Banking and Governance with Juan Andres Yanes

IFEP and Professor Goldberg hosted this interactive debate led by Juan Andres Yanes. Mr. Yanes also spoke about balancing a global bank's risk management and profitability and the public sector's regulatory and oversight framework from the perspective of one the world largest banks, Santander. The event was followed by a reception on the 15th floor.

Professor Merit E Janow arranged for William C. Dudley, president and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, to visit SIPA’s Kellogg Center on November 14 for an informal exchange with students. Mr. Dudley gave a brief overview of the bank’s core responsibilities and engaged in a friendly question and answer period with the students.

David Beim, Professor of Professional Practice in the Department of Finance and Economics at the Columbia Business School, offered comments. Mr. Tan and Professor Beim then answered questions from the audience. Merit E. Janow, Professor in the Practice of International Economic Law and International Affairs and Director of the International Finance and Economic Policy Concentration, moderated. A reception followed.
