Environment and Development
The Environment and Development Focus will allow students to center their EPD coursework on environmental policies, economics and laws in developing countries. Students interested in environmental development may also want to refer to courses taught through the Environmental Policy Studies course listings.
The courses listed below are pre-approved (in other words they are courses that students have taken in the past to meet the professional focus requirement). Keep in mind that not all of these courses are offered each year, nor is this an exhaustive list. Therefore, consult the appropriate course bulletins/Registration Guide for up-to-date information. Remember that you are encouraged to take advantage of courses at Columbia’s other graduate schools. Go to their website to find out about relevant courses.
